We have stayed at some pretty awesome VRBO properties in the past. When we start planning trips I love looking at the different options for places to stay. I have come across castles, and even found some pretty epic boats.

I have found some incredible properties that look like they would be worthy of being the entire vacation themselves, not just a place to sleep.
I am a former flight attendant and am married to a pilot. Aviation is a HUGE part of our life. These properties are all aviation related. I haven’t had the opportunity to stay at any of them yet, but they all look worthy of a trip.
Stay in an airplane VRBO in Costa Rica
One of the properties that made me want to do this post and share with you is this airplane. I have slept a lot in planes, but this one looks far more accommodating that any plane seat I have slumbered in . This Boeing 727 has been turned into a 2 bedroom 2 bath home that overlooks the Pacific Ocean. I have seen videos of it, and it is unreal how well they kept the plane in tact but have also made it a beautiful vacation destination. The surroundings certainly don’t hurt.
Boeing 727 Airplane Jungle VRBO
Located just 100 meters away this plane is a cockpit from an MD 80 that has been turned into a 1 bedroom 1 bath jungle hideaway. The same owners from the first airplane created another flying high getaway. This plane has views of the white sand beaches and would make an exceptional romantic getaway.
United States airplane-themed VRBOs
If you are a pilot and want to fly into your destination AND have a place to store your plane right at your rental home… this one is a winner. This cabin in eastern Arizona even has a hanger for your plane!! This three bedroom two bath is pet friendly and sleeps nine. It looks like it would be the perfect place to stay and take a day trip to the Petrified Forest National Park. The reviews rate it a 9.8/10!!
If regular landing strips are too tame for your taste, check out this home in Alaska that allows you to sit and watch bush planes do their thing! This 3 BR 2 BA has some incredible Aurora Borealis views. This property sleeps 8 and does not allow pets. It also has exceptional reviews. 10/10!!!

If you like the idea of a fly-in property, check out this Florida home (near Daytona Beach) that comes with your own saltwater pool. I can’t imagine how cool it would be to fly in and be right at your rental home. This 3BR 2BA sleeps 6. Because of how the fly-in community is set up so close to the home it does say it might not be ideal with smaller children. No pets are allowed. Reviews give it a 9.2/10! (There is also a golf course!)

Waterfall Cabin
I will certainly be doing more posts like these so I can share some super cool VRBOs that I find. I found this beautiful “waterfall cabin” that makes me want to put the NC address in my GPS and get there NOW!!
This waterfall cabin in NC is secluded and looks like a fairy tale.
